Abstract
Kerberos Module for Java (KMJ)

The Kerberos Module for Java (KMJ) is a reusable component that extends the generic Java implementation of Kerberos V5 protocol. It was designed to simplify usage of the strong authentication in various Java applications without changing an existing Kerberos environment.

Kerberos Module for Java implements the following functions:

  • Automated credential cache discovery;
  • Reading Kerberos tickets from memory caches;
  • Simplified configuration;
  • Authentication in the web browsers (requires Tomcat web server).
