What's New in Fermitools

All software packages available through Fermitools have been used by many internal users at Fermilab, and are considered to be fairly mature products.

On this page we post the announcements for the newest additions and future product releases.


Latest Additions:

July 2006:
CRLW has been upgraded to version v1_8_27.

CRLW, the web-based electronic logbook has been upgraded to version v1_8_26.
June 2006
FTT v2_26 added.

April 2006:
Unix Code Management (UCM) Version 5_3 now available.

UPS v4_7_3 has been added to Fermitools.

February 2006:
The following versions of Dervish have been added to Fermitools:
v8_18 -f Linux+2.4-2.3.2
v8_17 -f IRIX+6
v8_16 -f OSF1
dervish v8_16 -f Linux

December 2005:
Murmur has been upgraded to murmur v1_18 -f Linux+2.4 and the Murmur client has been upgraded to v1_21 -f Linux+2.4

May 2005:
The Kerberos Module for Java (KMJ) is now in Fermitools

FCSLIB, a collection of Python modules that can be used with other Python classes, has been upgraded to version 2_1b.

Dervish Version 8_16_3 now available.
Dervish is a collection of routines and executables useful in the offline analysis of astrometric data.

RGANG 2_7 and Runjob Version 3_1 are now available.

March 2005:
dfarm v3_1a for Irix and Linux
is now available

CRLW - Now in Fermitools. This software is a web-based electronic logbook for monitoring activities in an experiment control room.

February 2005:
Runjob - Now in Fermitools. This software automates the creation of production processing jobs for Monte Carlo generation and for batch oriented data reprocessing and analysis tasks.
